Prerequisites: Two years of college prep mathematics. No previous computer programming experience is necessary or assumed.

Course Catalog Description:
Introduction to systematic computer problem-solving and programming for a variety of applications. Open to all majors.

Course Goals:
Introduction to the development of interactive websites using modern web technologies and standards (HTML5 and CSS3); introduction to programming and problem solving using JavaScript and jQuery.

Course Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, students with a grade of C or better should be able to:
1. Understand the processes that occur when loading and viewing web pages
2. Use logic and problem solving skills to create an interactive web site using HTML5 and JavaScript
3. Modify page layouts and develop responsive web pages for desktop & mobile browsers using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS3) and JavaScript code libraries (e.g., jQuery)
4. Understand the basics of designing and deploying websites
